Key Personnel

CEMCO Inc. is the largest consulting firm in Guyana with a permanent staff of thirty six (36) persons; these are professionally trained and have the experience of working on many complex and demanding projects in Guyana, the Caribbean, Asia and Africa.

The Staff includes:

    Paul Bonar, B.Sc., FGAPE

  • Over 30 years experience in civil engineering, construction and project management. Over 10 years experience of large projects requiring substantial co-ordination of multi-disciplinary inputs.

    Mr. Bonar has lived and worked in Linden for some 20 years and has an extensive appreciation of the issues related to physical infrastructure and contracting capability in that township. He was the project engineer for the construction of LICHAS (Linden Concert Hall and School), the large 1260-W large walking dragline. His vast experience of the community and his familiarity with leadership within the township makes him an excellent resource for project development and implementation in Linden.

    Since joining CEMCO Inc in 2005, Mr. Bonar performed duties as the Resident Engineer for N D Lea in association with CEMCO Inc on the Berbice River Bridge Construction and is currently Chief Engineer responsible for the CDB financed BNTF projects on drilling of wells at 4 locations, a hospital in Region 1, A school at Parfait Harmonie, GRA buildings in New Amsterdam and Parika, The supervision of the construction of the foundation for GPL in Kingston for the new power station slated for completion in September 2009.

    Sheik Yussuff, B.Eng, M.Tech

  • A civil engineer with over 28 years experience in the design, construction and project management of coastal protection works and drainage and irrigation infrastructural works.

    He has worked for almost 30 years in the Public Service, until his retirement, during which time he has preformed duties as Site Engineer, Regional Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager and Assistant Chief Sea & River Defence Officer.

    Over the last 15 years, he performed duties as Project Manager/ Project Director of various Drainage & Irrigation and Sea Defences Projects.

    Since joining CEMCO Inc in 2007, Mr. Yussuff has been attached to the Approach Roads to the Berbice Bridge as the Sea Defence Engineer for the supervision of construction of the river defence abutments, the Project Manager on the  EU financed Ondeerneeming LIS Project, the Hydraulic Engineer with WSP (UK) on the Design Studies for 52 structures between Timehri and Rosignol and currently the Hydraulic Engineer on the relief channel at Hope Dochfour.

    Mark Mohan, C.Tech (Canada)

  • Mark Mohan joined the Firm in 2010 as a CAD technician. He is also a qualified technician overseeing RC and Timber buildings. He has experience in Canada, Bahamas and Guyana.

    Troy Charles, Inspector of Works

  • Mr. Troy Charles obtained in 1993 a technical Diploma in Building and Civil Engineering from GTI. His experience covers roads, water supply, drainage, sea defence and structures.
